My name is Anne Stodulski and I am a senior here at Grand Valley. I was the Public Relations chair for my sorority and I cannot wait to take on the position of Social Media Director for GVPRSSA!

I’m originally from the east side of Michigan in a small city called Huntington Woods, about 25 minutes outside of Detroit. I’m here at GV now and majoring in Advertising and Public Relations, and minoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Over the summer, I had two internships. One was the production intern for Connie and Fish’s morning show on Mix 95.7. This taught me to use Adobe Audition and learn how to edit audio. I was also able to help them with their social media and even got to go on air at times! My other internship was with Townsquare Media as a promotions intern. There, I and other interns worked local events in order to advertise and promote Grand Rapids radio stations such as 97.9, 98.7, 95.7, 100.5 and 104.9. At these events, we would engage with listeners and hand out prizes.

After having some experience with different organizations while using social media platforms I hope to further my knowledge of the best practices during my time here at PRSSA. I also hope to connect with those who have the same interests as I do and better myself in this journey.

I still haven’t fully decided what I want to do career-wise but I know that this and other experiences I have had will help me along the way. In this upcoming year, I am excited to be apart of PRSSA and learn more about this organization as a whole as well as meet new people. I have found that my favorite social media platform is Twitter so I am excited to utilize this platform more frequently in order to gain more engagement.

In my free time, I like to take naps, watch Netflix, workout, and hang out with friends. When I have time I also enjoy the occasional concert or music festival. Some of my favorite music artists are Post Malone and Harry Styles. I’m excited about this upcoming year and for everything it holds, I cannot wait to see where this journey at PRSSA takes me!
